Pregnancy & Adoption Support Staff

Meaghan Lane, MSW

Program Director

Hello! Serving in this leadership role with Pregnancy & Adoption Support is more than a job, it’s a mission of service, one that I now see God has been preparing me for my entire life.  11+ years of child welfare experience in Virginia and my social work background  has fueled my passion for providing and promoting ethical pregnancy and adoption services.  You will rarely find me in an office as I am typically out the community building partnerships, providing education, and connecting with others whose lives have been touched by adoption or unplanned pregnancy.   I am passionate about the work that we do with individuals, families and communities and am known for ‘thinking outside the box’ with ways to best support our clients.

Having been raised by a resilient and amazing single mother, I know the importance of pregnancy and family support in order to promote healthy children and families.  Now as a wife and mother to 3 children and 2 fur babies, I understand it on a whole other level!  Having adoption experiences in my own family, as well as years of adoption experience, has helped me to understand the beauty, sacrifice and joy that it can bring to all involved.  I am motivated to empower woman, support families and address barriers to adoption that our society currently faces.  I believe that every child is worth of life, love and family and that even from the most difficult circumstances there is potential for joy.

Bridget Mullen, MS, LGPC

Pregnancy and Adoption Support Supervisor

Hello! I joined this team in 2018 as a Pregnancy and Adoption Support Counselor and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working in this role since then. Before coming to Catholic Charities, I completed my Master’s in Clinical Psychology and worked with families in transitional housing, and with families and children, grades PreK through 8 as a school counselor. I’ve always been interested in listening to people’s stories and helping them find solutions to the challenges they face. In my work now I never cease to be amazed by the incredible courage and resilience my clients demonstrate in the face of overwhelming odds. I love watching my clients find their voice and engage their strengths and talents as they become empowered to make their own fully-informed choices and write their own stories.

A typical day in my life at Catholic Charities involves me working from our Fairfax office on home studies for adoptive families, visiting adoptive families in their homes, connecting with other professionals in the community to promote pregnancy and adoption support and meeting in the office or the community with expectant parents. I feel so blest to be part of a team that is supportive and shares a common goal of transforming families. My co-workers and close friends typically describe me as loyal, cheerful, detail-oriented and calm under pressure.

Jena Williams

Pregnancy and Adoption Support Social Worker

Hello! I joined this team in 2020 as a Pregnancy and Adoption Support Social Worker. Before coming to Catholic Charities, I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Walden University. I have worked with individuals and families at a homeless shelter as well as adolescents and young adults seeking help for drug and alcohol addiction.

I have always been passionate about helping others live the life that they desire. This job provides me with the chance to do just that as I work with adoptive families and expectant parents to facilitate the adoption process. I have a heart for kids of all ages and knowing that I am making a difference in children’s lives means everything to me.

From our Fairfax office you’ll see me working on home studies, visiting with our adoptive families in their homes, or in the community with expectant parents. I am beyond thankful to be a part of this team that builds each other up and treats clients with the utmost respect. My co-workers and close friends would describe me as positive, hardworking, and kind-hearted.

Pregnancy and Adoption Support Social Worker

Hello! I am so excited to be a part of this team as their new Pregnancy and Adoption Social Worker. Before coming on with Catholic Charities, I completed my Bachelors in Social Work at VCU in Richmond, VA and went on to finish my Master's in Social Work online through Western New Mexico University. After graduating, I worked as a Social Worker at a pregnancy medical center in Falls Church, VA helping women navigate their unplanned pregnancies.

Foster care and adoption have always had a special place in my heart since I was little. I am passionate about providing support and a listening ear to these women in such a difficult and vulnerable time, and feel honored and excited to be a part of an important mission like this!

Francesca Gross

Administrative Assistant

Hello! I joined the team at Catholic Charities PAS in 2020 as their administrative assistant.  I have over 10 years of non-profit and ministry experience through different youth programs. I have been blessed by adoption as I am an adoptive mother to our son. My personal experiences of our adoption process as opened my eyes to the beauties and hardships of the process and has led me to want to help others navigate their own journey.  My role with PAS is to support the workers and families administratively. Even though I am behind the scenes I get to see families grow through adoption and women thrive in our programs who choose to parent. I am excited to serve and play a small role in supporting families in their big moment of welcoming a child into their lives.
